 Here's a simple and delicious Palak Paneer recipe you can make at home:



๐ŸŒฟ Palak Paneer Recipe (Spinach with Indian Cottage Cheese)


๐Ÿ•’ Total Time: 30–40 minutes


๐Ÿฝ️ Serves: 3–4





๐Ÿง„ Ingredients:


For the spinach purรฉe:


250g fresh spinach (palak)


2–3 cups water (for blanching)


1 green chili (adjust to taste)


½ inch ginger


2–3 cloves garlic



For the gravy:


200g paneer (cubed)


1 medium onion (finely chopped)


1 medium tomato (pureed or finely chopped)


1 tsp cumin seeds


1 tsp garam masala


½ tsp turmeric powder


½ tsp red chili powder (optional)


Salt to taste


1–2 tbsp oil or ghee


2 tbsp cream or 1 tbsp butter (optional for richness)





๐Ÿณ Instructions:


Step 1: Prepare the spinach


1. Wash spinach thoroughly. Boil water and blanch the spinach for 2 minutes.



2. Immediately transfer it to cold water (to retain green color).



3. Drain and blend with green chili, ginger, and garlic into a smooth purรฉe. Set aside.




Step 2: Cook the base


1. Heat oil/ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.



2. Add chopped onions and sautรฉ until golden brown.



3. Add tomato and cook until the oil separates.



4. Add turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 1–2 minutes.



Step 3: Add spinach purรฉe


1. Add the spinach purรฉe to the pan and mix well.



2. Simmer for 5–7 minutes. Add garam masala.



3. Stir in cream or butter if using.




Step 4: Add paneer


1. Add paneer cubes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.



2. (Optional: Lightly fry paneer before adding if you prefer.)

Roti, naan, or para

tha


Jeera rice or plain basmati rice ๐Ÿš
